Bloggers Getting the Axe.

So I read an article on the Huffington Post today that I wanted to share. I found it really interesting that we live in an age where so many people are able to have free speech and communicate with others and then we have a case like this with Hamza Kashgari where he is now being deported to his home country and he will now face the death penalty for some tweets that he wrote on twitter.

I also find it interesting that we live in a country where the Christians are a large majority of the population yet they feel like the government is waging war on them for allowing the GLBT community the rights to marry and be equal, and allowing women to take control of their bodies. Perhaps these people should take a look at this and think again that they're allowed to worship the god they want to and not face the death penalty for saying things that they believe.

  1. Yes! Freedom of religion and free speech=key parts of the U.S. Constitution! Indeed!

  2. I had a friend say an interesting thing on either facebook or twitter. (I can't remember which, and I also don't remember who or if it was a photo that they found etc. But the quote stuck with me.) My friend was talking about how the GOP is claiming that the Democrat's have declared war on their religion, but they felt like it was more that the GOP was waging war on the rest of us to make us follow their religion.

I'm such a huge fan of free speech and freedom of religion as long as its not hurting anyone.
